  1. Suggestion for J$P: Please consider identifying the daily picture like you do for the top of the page banner, so when you hover over the image you can get the name of the person featured. I ask as sometimes I am not quite sure who the person is. Thank you for your time and consideration.

    • Good idea. I looked up how to do it (the slideshow thingie lets me name each slide and then displays it as you describe so I didn’t need to know how technically they did it; the daily image is manually inserted by me so I had to learn how to add the title).

      • I know how via the web software Dreamweaver and SharePoint Designer. Old school in html code it’s the title attribute within the image html code. It’s sometimes called alternative text for visually impaired, so it reads the picture name. Thanks for updating. That’s Jake? I thought it was Erik Wemple.

      • The title argument is a string (in quotes) so upper/lower case and multiple words are OK, as is common punctuation. (Just a hint.) 🙂

  2. Geraldo’s fairly right, however, with him, you know that he’s not just flirting, he’s seriously and annoyingly coming on to women, while cheesing on the attributes of his current wife, fatherhood, and his own forthrightness.

Pity the poor woman stupid enough. She’s in his next kiss-and-brag.

  3. I was on travel earlier this week, so limited time to comment. Your welcome. 🙂 This post is a day late and a J$ short.

    Eric Wemple FYI –

A freelance writer named Cathy Alter alleged that an article she wrote for the City Paper, and edited by Erik Wemple, was altered by Wemple against her will to incorrectly portray the facts. Most controversial was that Erik Wemple changed her story to state Jennifer Ringley was fat and included her in their “Freak of the Week” column. Source Daily Caller

On August 8, 2000, Erik Wemple, while a columnist for the Washington City Paper, wrote a column criticizing Peggy Cooper Cafritz, then a candidate for president of the District of Columbia Public Schools, opining that a white woman should not run for such a position in a city that was predominantly African-American. Cafritz is African-American. Source Washington CityPaper

In 2013 Wemple refused to report or even read the race discrimination lawsuit against the Washington Post that was first exposed by journalist Evan Gahr in an opinion piece for the Daily Caller. Source FrontPage Mag

It’s widely known Erik Wemple is obsessed with Fox News like CNN’s Jeff Zucker, Brian Stelter and cohorts. Wemple loves to be snarky and immature in his blog posts, especially about Fox & Friends. Wemple also likes to pose questions to Fox Hosts about items beyond their control or about others. So perhaps Wemple could answer these questions:

Are you proud that in 2003, your wife, Stephanie Mencimer, who works at ultra-liberal Mother Jones, was arrested and charged with throwing dog excrement at a local businesswoman? Source Washington Post

Why do you consider yourself a journalist? Your “blog” and twitter feed are full of anti-Fox, anti-GOP, anti-conservatives posts and a lot of kissing up to MSNBC and CNN. Just yesterday you tweeted a post promoting Brian Stelters book and provided a link to Amazon to purchase.

  4. Geraldo’s tweets were kind of off the wall, but I’m not sure I like the suits swooping in and making him apologize. He may have been off-base but it’s not like he was tweeting the n-word or pictures of swastikas or something. There are enough snowflakes being triggered by anything said on Fox News as it is. We don’t need more of them inside Fox warning people not to color outside the lines.

  5. Joe and Mika’s tirade against Trump from today’s show was one for the ages. Scarborough is calling for his cabinet to invoke the 25th Amendment and have him removed from office while Mika was sitting there tossing in barbs like “Charlottesville,” “Muslims,” “Trump University” and so on.

I don’t know where they go from here because every other criticism will pale in comparison. I think these two jumped the shark years ago but if they didn’t do it today then I don’t know what it will take.

  6. Currently the top 3 links (in random order) are the MSNBC contributor supporting child rape, Geraldo taken to the woodshed, and Kathy Griffin’s cryptic warning. At least 6 hours to go before the official ranking is released.

  7. I have to agree with something JD linked on Twitter about Megyn Kelly’s actions post Lauer firing.

Such a bad move on her part to make a speech about it.

  8. Again another day late and a J$ short comment . . .

I wonder if the poor books sales of Keith Olbermanns new vile named book helped influence him to come out with his phony, publicity seeking statement that he is done with political commentary.

I would tweet him that, but I can proudly say he is the first of the three people I know of to block me.

Flashback Olbermann exclaimed that displaying/wearing the USA flag inappropriately is bad, even though he did it himself and then came back and said gotcha.

  9. Today’s most popular links:
    5 and tribalism
    4 turns testy
    3 tweets ‘support’
    2 cryptic warning
And the most popular link in today’s links…
1 Off the reservation? Geraldo taken to woodshed, issues apology.

  10. You know those mail-order DNA tests? We got one for our cat. They claim that she is related to former MLB pitcher Jim Kaat.

    • So funny, I’ve been considering getting/doing one of those as I’ve always been told I am 100% German, which explains my love for bier.

You know what the best cat is? 😉

      • I had a blood test that was conducted by the Myaamia Project at Miami University of Ohio. I have a friend who took that idiotic AncestryDNA one. They claimed he was a third Vietnamese. Actually, he’s German-Irish. His family has lived in the area for over a hundred years.

I’ve always found the best and smartest cats are tabbys.

        • I’ve heard you get some crazy results and they may be suspect.

You darn cat people. Note research just came out saying dogs are smarter than cats! 😉
