  1. If the odious Lisa Bloom had defended Ed Asner as being an out-of-touch remorseless dinosaur she would have been on the money.

He is the poster child for that.

    Let him alone.

  2. What’s going to be the gun or Confederate flag in the Weinstein debacle?

We’re talking extremely rich white males in the movie industry, liberals are not going to pass up this chance to get some sort of quasi-religious theater from this, and the DNC will want lemonade from lemons via some corporate concessions/money/privilege to interest groups as well as legislation.

      • It must be exhausting for these online entities like YouTube, Google, and Twitter to concentrate so much effort on stifling whoever challenges the oligarch left and to squelch folks living under oppressive national regimes.

      • Carol, it occurs to me that the precipitous downturn that both Ashley Judd and Rose McGowan seem to have had in their careers, their emotional and mental stability, their physicality, has been from the trauma of rape.

      • Twitter caught so much flak about it.

Time was when Fox News was the only corporation in which there was no industry push-back from the corporate MSM (nor from the chattering class, in general) against any woman making a claim against them.

That served to make Fox seem uniquely subversive.

That is no longer the case. This is likely to be for a very brief period, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see it become something akin to Salem.

And the most popular link in today’s links…
    1 Megyn Kelly is struggling

  4. Should be another good nigh for Hannity. Saw a promo that he has Jesus Campos interview. I think this will be the first time he has spoken publicly.

  5. What do people think about Brian Kilmeade at 10? It seems like social media reaction has been quite positive. I like seeing him there, and the studio looks great. I do wonder why Fox is having him fill in there, of all people. It kind of seems like they’re grooming him for his own show… is he the backup plan if Ingraham flops or Hannity decides to leave?

    • I don’t think Laura will flop. The backwash from Hannty’s ratings will keep her afloat even if she’s only mediocre. As for Kilmeade, he’s a long-time favorite of mine. One of the quickest wits on television, with a kind of wry delivery that reminds me of Joey Bishop. (His jokes are constantly being cited by people who never watch him and don’t know when he’s kidding, but that doesn’t seem to have hurt his career.) He’s right-leaning, but not all the time, thinks for himself, and seems to get along well with his colleagues. It does surprise me that they have him working from 6am to 11pm when there are others who could have handled 10pm, but what was supposed to be a rotating spot until the end of October has been his since the second week. I hope it continues; Fox can buy him a cot.

  6. While there may be some @ “the pound” desiring a Laura failure, I don’t think that is a prevailing view of Fox News fans. She will get a fair shot with a great lead in & must produce strong rating numbers like anyone else in this cable game.
