  1. Meryl Streep “The behavior is inexcusable, but the abuse of power familiar. Each brave voice that is raised, heard and credited by our watchdog media will ultimately change the game.”

    Oh, Meryl…Meryl…

Hasn’t there been enough actresses debasing themselves, as concerns Harvey Weinstein, in order to keep their careers?

  2. Interesting op-ed in the NYT regarding Megyn Kelly. I think the author gets it half-right – Megyn is a likeable person but she is not a good fit for a light, fluffy morning show. It doesn’t play to her strengths and by not doing that they are wasting Kelly’s time and their money. Maybe Megyn will build an audience and make this work but I have serious doubts. She doesn’t have to return to cable but she belongs on, say, a Sunday morning political show grilling people. If NBC was smart they would ditch Chuck Todd (no offense to Chuck….seems like a nice guy) and give Meet The Press to Kelly and let her do what she is best at.

      • That’s part of the problem with the “new” Megyn as I see it – he stock went way up when she was on Fox discussing politics and social issues and was doing tough interviews. If you’re NBC you bring her in to keep doing that – not 1 hour of “let’s have some fun.”

    • I liked Sunday Night that was a show that showed some of her strengths and the reporters as well ,and stories that you can’t fit in the nightly news and dateline doesn’t do anymore. As I said I like MK , but this show doesn’t fit me to watch, though I also think she has to just focus on politics to be good, people do need a break from politics.

      • I don’t disagree with the break from politics (although part of the problem these days is that so much is politicized) but this show is not in her wheelhouse. The Sunday Night show was definitely much closer to what she is best at.

  3. Re: Somerby’s article about Mika and Weinstein – Mika stated that she and Scarborough were invited to a number of events that Weinstein held but “they never went.”
I don’t buy that for a second. Joe and Mika strike me as two of the biggest rear-end kissers of media and Hollywood big shots that you’ll come across.

  4. According to TVNEWSER Greg Gutfeld had the most-watched show in the demo on Saturday night. That’s great news. I think the show has improved since it began and I even like Kat on this type of show. Tyrus is naturally funny and has turned out to be a good side-kick for Greg.

  5. The Lee Smith piece in the Weekly Standard does a brilliant job of rebutting the media narrative that they heretofore couldn’t do expose’s on Weinstein, because they couldn’t “nail down the story”.
