      • Agree. It really should be called the “Fox News *itch Hour” as Zucker (via his lackey BS) would never dare call out or discuss liberal media or MSNBC for their ridiculous antics and Maddow’s crazy conspiracy theories.

          • New stadium mostly paid by us taxpayers 🙁 and it seems the NFL always rewards the new stadiums with a Super Bowl. On the field, it will be 65 degrees as it’s an indoor stadium. 😉

          • IIRC, the early Super Bowls were only played in southern (warm) cities. What year did they start using enclosed stadiums up north?
Bonus question – What does IIRC stand for?
            (No prizes. I’m too cheap.)

          • If I remember correctly, I want to say the Silverdome in Pontiac in 1975 was the first used in the North with a dome.

          • The best prize is bragging rights!

I am stumped on both, but I believe @sky303:disqus must have answered correctly since you liked the reply. On IIRC, I don’t know, but I suspect Larry and Bella in their response are incorrect and don’t want to cheat with a Google search.

          • sky303 has the location right, but the first ‘Big Game’ up north in a domed stadium was in 1982. The NFL hasn’t played many in cold climates since then. (I did have to ‘cheat’ to get that answer.)

Bonus answer — “If I Recall Correctly”.

          • Tax payers will be paying for it for sometime, because it’s one of those owned by the city or the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority thing so weeeee

          • The dome keeps things nice and warm , infact this game will be warmer than the game in New Jersey a few years ago

          • The Metrodome is gone and we have a fancy new billion dollar stadium with an end zone of glass windows that opens up.

  1. I haven’t watched the Grammys in years, but did watch a little of the opening ceremony stream. The Jeff Lorber Fusion’s Prototype won for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album. And the house band was Paul Shaffer and the World’s Most Dangerous Band (CBS Orchestra during The Late Show years).

  2. I respectfully request that the Stelter pic at the top be replaced by the less offensive poop emoji.

  3. HLN adding the name Headline News is a nice step they should add some prime time news , just to be a point of difference to the other news channels

  4. Bill O’Reilly will provide analysis tomorrow night for the cable news channel Newsmax on Pres. Trump’s first State of th…

  6. FYI – J$P has a additional post today (outside Monday Links and Open Thread) – “‘It Plays to the Worst in the Democratic Party’” it’s a J$P Video! of Judith Miller and Joe Concha examine Hillary’s ill-conceived Grammys gig from today’s (Monday 1/29/18) Fox News Happening Now

I mention as I don’t normally look out side the daily thread.

    • I’m glad you mentioned that. I haven’t thought much about visitor patterns so it hadn’t occurred to me that some people might not see certain posts based on what kind of routine they follow when visiting. That’s good to know and I’m going to have to look more closely at things like visitor paths etc as I don’t want people to miss all the delights this cesspool has to offer.

      • I figured that. Once I get to your daily thread, I leave this tab open for the day and hit refresh every now and then. I only notice when I go on my phone or tablet.
