    • Custer should’ve faced court-martial long before the Big Horn, or the Washita. He insisted on wearing the insignia of a Major General ( a brevet rank he held during the Civil War), instead of his actual rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

    • Speaking of poop, I thought of this Jerry Seinfeld quote –

“On my block, a lot of people walk their dogs, and I always see them walking along with their little poop bags, which to me is just the lowest function of human life. If aliens are watching this through telescopes, they’re going to think the dogs are the leaders. If you see two life-forms, one of them’s making a poop, the other one’s carrying it for him, who would you assume is in charge?”

      • I just realized the above quote may look like I am anti-Dog, but I am far from it. Sadly I had to put down my best friend one month shy of his 17 birthday two years ago this July. Getty was a Shih-Tzu that was loved by all and cherished by many. RIP Getty – I will carry your poop anytime! 😉

  1. Why does the right side of Senator Shelby mouth droop low? Why does the left side of Jonah Goldberg’s? Are there other unsymmetrical people on cable? Should that be stopped?

    • Jonah Goldberg is one of the many Never Trumpers on Fox News. Richard Lowry and Steve Hayes are two other “conservative” Never Trumpers, and one of the reasons I don’t watch FNC that much any more.

      • Lucky to have a single person on the SPECIAL REPORT panel to take Trump’s side of things as so many regulars were against him from the getgo. Forget their names, but a couple of the lady guest panelists are smart defenders. Bret Baier is always fair in his role of discussion facilitator. Charles K. dislikes Trump, but dispises Obama who he sees as ridiculously sanctimonious. As the last best hope for my agenda, I’ll back Trump. Nothing I’ve seen about him (that’s been proven) bothers me.

        • Charlie Hurt seems to be the designated Trump supporter, but he also seems to stutter quite a bit. The only other reliable defender is Mollie Hemingway.

          • I’m getting to appreciate Mollie Hemingway. Not only for her Fox appearances but for her columns in The Federalist and elsewhere. Smart, literate and a wry sense of humor.

          • Charlie Hurt is a scab. He took a job at The Detroit News when its employees went on strike in 1995. He’s a strikebreaker and a walking piece of sh!t.

          • I never got the impression that he was pro-union. I don’t find him very articulate for the high profile role he has at Fox News. Ditto Chris Stirewalt.

        • On Special Report, it’s usually either Laura Ingraham, Mollie Hemingway, or Charles Hurt that are the panel pro-Trump defenders.

    • There was a woman on The Weather Channel who was lopsided in the bust area. I am NOT making that up.

      • CNN’s Suzanne Malvoux (I’m not even going to google the correct spelling) always sit slanted to one side. The physical manifestation of bias.

  2. This morning at Church they announced it was Military Appreciation Day yesterday (third Saturday in May). Anyway a big thank to all the veterans, including my Dad, Brother, Nephew/Godchild, Grandpa, all of my uncles (all 6 of my Moms brothers and all 9 of my Dads brothers) and many many more cousins, great uncles, etc. Thanks again!

  3. Several media folks have now said to their guests a variation of what Anderson Cooper said to Jeffrey Lord.

What is the purpose of having opposition on your show…ostensively to air an opposing side…and then tell them that they’re hacks for doing so on your show?

Not give them facts they don’t know, expose them in a lie, or present a better argument, just tell them that they shouldn’t be there doing what you had invited them on to do.

This is just what Daniel Greenberg pointed out in the article linked by Nixon the other day. It’s agitprop made to go viral, to be made into gifs for Twitter, Facebook, etc.

    It’s a campaign.

  4. Larry, your girl Soledad O’Brien has followed me on Twitter.

Boy, have her flunkies gone after the wrong element in a wrong segment of female tv viewers.

  5. This weekend’s most popular links:
    5 where’s the crime?
    4 not on MSNBC
    3 at a crossroads
    2 Eboni K Williams
And the most popular link in this weekend’s links…
1 Bill O’Reilly: It doesn’t seem FNC has a plan to deal with losing people.

  6. Prologue to PBS NEWSHOUR SUNDAY contributions frunded by… “John and Hellen Glessner Family Trust, supporting trustworthy journalism that informs and inspires”. Let me say to John and Helen, “stick it where the sun don’t shine”. At least the inspire part — that’s the gateway to bias.
