  1. NYT’s David Brooks was intended to be an alternate voice to Mark Shields on PBS NEWSHOUR in the Friday night give and take, but the major difference these days is who hates Trump the most. Shields and Brooks screams for a replacement… maybe with Shields and Yarnell?

  2. JIM TREACHER “It’s amazing how quickly dissent comes back into fashion after a stunning electoral loss. This is why everybody loves the MSM.”

  3. Mark Joyella was fired from TVNewser. It’s most likely due to Joyella’s anti-GOP bias in his posts and trolling commentators on the site.

    • I’m wishing CBS would consider similar actions after watching the Saturday morning show. No, and the grinnng new girl didn’t make up for it.

      • Smirking girl worked for Center for American Progress, did commentary for Olby and O’Donnell, and wants the 2nd Amendment repealed. And yet with the wave of a hand, despite having no training or experience in actual journalism, she gets to anchor a program on CBS News.

        But it’s Fox that’s evil.

        • She did at least mention to the NYT Magazine stubble-covered, lanterned-jawed Mr. Grumpy that Harry Reid set the stage for Senate approval of presidential appointments by simple majority. Thanks, Harry… it wasn’t so nuclear with you dropping that precedent setting bomb.

  4. A couple of comments regarding stories posted in the last couple of days.
    1. Megyn Kelly has done nothing wrong discussing the Roger Ailes situation. Ailes certainly does deserve credit for starting Fox News and keeping it #1. But, if even half of the stories are true about his treatment of the ladies working at FNC, he deserves no sympathy.(Gretchen & Megyn both appear credible to me) O’Reilly should handle these questions a lot better.
    2. On a lighter note, loved Gutfeld on Howard Stern. Stern would be a fun guest on “The Five”.

    • “O’Reilly should handle these questions a lot better”

He should say….”sorry no comment”……..usually only company executives are allowed to talk about court case in the media.

    • Now Stelter is saying that critism of actors haranguing a pol audience member from the stage after a performance is an attempt to stifle artistic expression.

I suppose he’d feel the same if they were to have blasted ticket purchasers as the insular beneficiaries of white privilege.

Pretty sure the audience would feel themselves ill-used in that case.

  5. This weekend’s most popular links:
    5 full-bore anti-Trump
    4 boycott demand
    3 Eric Bolling
    2 threatens free speech
And the most popular link in this weekend’s links…
1 De Moraes: Megyn’s unprecedented tv tour.

  6. i felt dirty watching the megyn BOR clip. i can think of a ton of arguments on both sides why it is good bad or indifferent but really it just seemed dirty. if media and media criticism includes this sort of analysis as a staple for it’s audience it must be a prurient calculation. with so much happening why is so little covered? we are full of this stuff. this conflict effects the coverage of what how?. i expect modern replicas of Greek tragedies and comedies in fiction.
also i was shocked stunned and bewildered by friedman’s comments on flynn on the MTP. clip on RCP.

      • Hey I like CNN……..it like a major version of the disgraced twitter stooges…….I know they are one sided and I’m being lied to…….be they are so bad at it I just can’t stop laughing.

  7. If both Bolling and Pirro leave for the administration it will require quite a shuffle on Fox. Two weekend shows will need new hosts, one potentially an entire new show. Quite a change.
