  1. It’s hard to see the Thanksgiving holiday come to an end. It was so sweet and precious this year. My husband hit on the right word as we walking Thanksgiving afternoon– ambrosia. The weather so beautiful, the aura so peaceful, quiet. Holy. (Another good word).

We were roughly thrown back to earth by this bad man on a killing spree at a Planned Parenthood clinic. A steamroller reminder that evil roams the world looking to whom he may devour, and a new front in an argument that suggests you can’t disdain that evil and simultaneously rue abortion and P.P.’s despicable practice of selling body parts. I’m not sure how this killer’s action makes it bad to have exposed this bit of commerce that PP had to avow as stopping.

We have touchstones along the way. Reminders of what’s true and eternal. Julie Banderas’ giddy emotional on-air announcement of her pregnancy and of the Christmas present to her children of the sonogram of their sibling. Now we have the link here of Mary Katherine Ham’s tender birth announcement, made even more poignant by the recent death of her baby’s father.

Past, present, and future, God has given us this thanksgiving, indeed.
