  1. For some time I have started my mornings by saying, “Alexa, give me my flash briefing”. I then get about a three minute summary from FOX NEWS, BLOOMBERG, local weather, and a today in history tidbit. With my Christmas present Amazon Echo Show, I now see FOX RADIO’s wonderful Dave Anthony reading me the summary, headphone gear and all.

  2. The rival network hatred toward FOX is now coming from the inability of CNN and MSNBC to suppress news that is undermining the FBI’s so-called Russian investigations in the eyes of the public.

I was amazed to hear progressive Charles Lane on the SPECIAL REPORT panel voice appropriate (honest liberal) concern about the politicalizing of a national police force. FNC might now be doing the most important reporting in its history.

  3. Re: “Impartial MSNBC anchors laud attack on ‘neo-Nazi’ Fox News”: It’s been a while since I’ve seen ESPN’s Outside the Lines, but it seemed like Dave Zirin was always on when I happened to watch. As if his employer, The Nation, wasn’t enough of a clue as to his politics, the lauded column makes clear where he stands.

  4. i opened page to bitch about drudge and his “Huge explosion St Petersburg breaking” then got company from costa rica. had to open the stupid page to find out it was not florida. grrrrrrrrrrrr

  5. The all guest hosts of The Five today are quite entertaining, but miss the regulars! I love Kennedy’s responses to Marie Harf.

    • Was one of the responses along the line of telling Harf what to do with her hat and calling it curls?

  6. Today’s most popular links:
    5 buy the WWE
    4 all squealers
    3 CNN falsifies
    2 media questions
And the most popular link in today’s links…
1 Impartial MSNBC anchors laud attack on ‘neo-Nazi’ Fox News.

  7. THE HILL:
“Fox News was the most-watched cable television network in 2017, its second consecutive year leading total viewership among cable networks.
Fox News averaged 2.4 million primetime viewers and 1.5 million viewers during the day, Deadline reported, using Nielsen ratings information. The network beat out Nickelodeon and MSNBC, which rounded out the top three in total viewership.
Fox News’ primetime viewership was on par with its 2016 numbers, but its daytime audience grew slightly.”

    • I don’t know why the 2017 numbers story is being reported today. It was news a week ago and linked to in the Dec 20 post. Now a bunch of sites are reporting it again today. Just an explainer from me as to why I didn’t post any links to it today; we covered it last week!
