  1. Started to turn on the debate. George Stuffinenvelopes came on. Switched it off. I have no idea who the other moderators are, but that one is a political hack par excellence.

    • He’s not moderating it’s Raddaz and Muir , Steph’s just there as anchor I guess that’s what it would be called

          • Hard to disagree with your point.

As a retiree I sometimes spend my mornings watching the first hour of CBS This Morning.

I migrated there after watching GMA for an extended period.

            My digested review:

            • GMA has some very likable cast members including Robin Roberts, Amy Robach and especially the delightful Laura Spemcer. Although there were many mornings George Stephanopoulos looked tired and disengaged because of his heavy workload of hosting both GMA and This Week.

            • Most of their political pieces were driven by center-right Jonathan Karl .whose writing has been published in the Weekly Standard and the WSJ, So despite the presence of George Stephanopoulos, I could not detect a partisan narrative with few exceptions, Most of the time they were not exactly Obama boosters…but not always.

What finally drove me away — despite the lively entertaining program — was all the fluff and celebrity news…even in the first hour. Shocker, I know.

          • Pretty much the same thing that drove me away from NIGHTLINE. There was a time when I never missed a program.

          • I used to always watch Nightline … wasn’t really a late night talker fan .. when I moved I still recorded it but it’s quality went way down… so sadly stopped

          • I used to be a Today watcher …. but I drifted to the Early Show’s last year in 2011 when the show became really newsy and stayed when This Morning when I watch network morning shows…

          • re: this week. yeah but the left is represented by that crazy ex governer Granholm (sp) that gave the drunk convention speech, congresses only Muslim and the chick from the Nation which is on par with the people’s worker’s daily. then they throw in the ABC’s chief political correspondent and you have a DNCC fiesta.

  2. I don’t know about you, but I’m watching the NFL Honors on CBS. As I noted last year, a former FNC anchor is in the audience by way of her marriage to the commissioner, Roger Goodell. That’s right: It’s Jane Skinner. She’s been on camera with him a few times tonight.

  3. If very many NH voters share the criticism of Rubio’s debate performance expressed by the four panelists on FNC’s post debate coverage, his second place standing in the most recent NH Primary polls could be in jeopardy.

    Other consensus opinions:
    • Bush had second good debate in a row. But is it too late?
    • Trump’s performance in this format was improved and he wasn’t damaged tonight.
    • Christie had ‘some’ good moments, but will it be enough to improve his 6th place standing in the RCP average?

    • And this just four days after Gabriel Sherman said watch Fox rally around Rubio, and was immediately echoed by newshounds.

Oh well, tomorrow’s Sunday. A new week means a new meme.

      • I’m sure that Ellen’s mutts will stop chasing their own tails long enough to offer their latest “curious” view.
