    • The Disgraced newshounds believe everything he prints… don’t need to know more than that.

Could he be right….sure…..however he has a track record worst than a newshound “writer” when it comes to Fox News.

      • I can’t think of one thing that Sherman has ever been right about. He simply provides reading material for the mental onanism of the anti-FOX mob.

  1. if i was one of the very few people that paid taxes in Baltimore i would be pretty ticked off that they are spending all that time and money prosecuting the police while entire town seemed to catch a bad case of “insanity”. wonder what it is like in the pre-shift updates. lets roll blue team.

  2. Murdoch dosen’t want another News of the World on his hands again… slinging Ailes over the side early doors seems sensible.

      • Haven’t the Murdoch whelps been looking to get rid of him for some time now? This could be a perfect opportunity, regardless of how the investigation turns out.

      • From the Sherman article:

        >>While Gretchen Carlson’s sexual-harassment lawsuit against Ailes sparked the investigation, sources say it has expanded into a wide-ranging inquiry into Ailes’s controversial management style.<<

          • Given the highly restrictive NDAs, people might have to speak off the record. And I *think* it’s plausible, in that the Murdoch kiddies have supposedly long wanted to get rid of him. So what better way, than to use a sexual harassment lawsuit to launch a wider investigation?

          • Maybe. Depends when the investigation is finished. If you buy Sherman, and his recent produce has been spoiled, it was finished already.

          • Exactly. Who knows. It wasn’t too many years ago that the prevailing meme was that Murdoch couldn’t stand Ailes. That they were oil and water and Rupert tolerated Roger because Fox is the cash cow of the empire.

That narrative accompanied speculation that Ailes was on his way out because the prevailing new world order (as harkened and evidenced by an Obama Administration and Democratic House and Senate) would compel Fox to become more progressive or lose its viewership.

            That didn’t quite play out.

It was amusing to me to recently see Murdoch now described as bosom buddy to Ailes.

It is plausible that the Murdoch sons might want a network less despised by the elites even if it affected ratings. That is not an unknown phenomenon as evidenced in the movie industry where family fare that rakes in huge amounts by appealing to a larger demographic is eschewed by companies and investors interested in more “artistic” vehicles.

            We’ll see.

        • Saying an investigation of sexual harassment expanded into a supervisor’s management style, is like saying exploratory surgery for abdominal cancer expanded into an examination of the patient’s lymph nodes.

That “expansion” is always part and parcel of the whole.

  3. Gabe Sherman is an IDIOT!

Ailes is FOX News, FOX News is a BIG part of News Corp

Getting rid of Ailes would probably mean a drop of a few Billion from News Corp Stock!!!

  4. “Maddow understands that what she said is just not true.”
That is not a revaluation for a liberal. Not even POTUS. Standard business practice. Look at the news about the Iran nuke deal out today.

  5. From Sherman’s article:

    >>The lawyers are seeking to interview former female employees of Fox News in addition to current staff. They are also looking into the appropriateness of Ailes’s pressuring employees to speak out on his behalf, against his accusers. For instance, they are focusing on an op-ed written by Fox Business anchor Neil Cavuto in which Cavuto called the allegations against Ailes “sick.” As Cavuto is a manager at Fox News (his title is senior VP and managing editor), his comments could be seen as part of a corporate attempt to silence women who would speak out.<<

I found that second sentence rather curious. But unless they've got more than Cavuto's op-ed, it sounds like a reach. If it's even true

  6. CNN now: Jake Tapper keeps interrupting Dana Bash before she can get her explanations voiced. She should stick her sock in his mouth.

  7. When I was a little kid, all there was on TV was NBC, CBS, and ABC. They all covered the conventions gavel to gavel. To a little boy, an entire week of nothing but that on television was a very long time.

  8. News Alert: Man armed with ax injures multiple people on a train in Germany, local reports say.

    OKAY PEOPLE, place your bets.
    a) Muslim inspired by radical Islam
    b) Former alter boy down on his luck
    c) Sore loser at the bratwurst festival
    d) Random crazy with an ax fetish

  9. Today’s most popular links:
    5 just not true
    4 changes at FNC
    3 pilot
    2 Ailes exit
And the most popular link in today’s links…
1 Specularama: Why Megyn isn’t talking about Roger.

  10. As Ive said before the disgraced newshound types count on their readers being idiots…… today’s there’s this:

How can Rev. Al Sharpton be considered Hollywod you might ask….what’s wrong with Fox you ask ? Well you don’t because if you are reading this you probably aren’t a mindless hater drone.

Oh thats right the Rev. has appeared in Multiple TV shows and Movies….performed at a Tony awards….hint that makes him a actor. AKA…hollywood.

    Their desperation is showing.

    • But…but…but, Oswald Cobblepot claims that F&F hates on Hillary. This is his new version of wailing on about Obama-bashing.

  11. Wait….MSNBC has LO being the fact checker of the night and he said they would have to do more fact checking for this convention than others live on TV?

ARE you watching stooges…..that’s what a political party pretending to be a news network really looks like……can anyone imagine Fox making Hannity the fact checker for the night?

    • They should’ve gone for the gold and appointed Brian Williams as fact checker.

  12. You know, I think the lady in the toll booth in the McDonalds commercial is really a cutie. Beautiful eyes and smile.
